Problem Statement :
In this 1st exercise of digiskill 2.0 wordpress subject we have been given following tasks.
- download and install localhost xmapp or wamp in your system.
- Download and install WordPress in localhost and take screenshots.
learning outcomes:
you will learn how to install localhost XAMPP server in your PC.
learn how to install the WordPress in xampp or any other localhost.
Solution:
- use the link given in exercise file to download localhost Xampp server.
- download and install the localhost.
- than download the WordPress software file from www.wordpress.org/ .
- extract the rar file and after that copy ar cut that extracted folder and paste it in xampp's folder present in your " C drive".
- in "c drive" click on "XAMPP" folder than click on the "htdocs" folder and paste WordPress folder in it.
- change the name of the folder with the name you are going to create the website. i used the name "sulehriweb" as my folder name.
- launch the xmapp server and click on the start buttons of apache and mysql.
after clicking on start
- Click on the "admin" button i front of MYSQL and a new page of mysql will appear.
- Here is teh option of create database.
- create the database with the same name as you created the folder earlier.
- take screenshot of each step.
- after creating the database go to the browser and type "localhost/sulehriweb/ and press the enter
- suleriweb in my case and in your case type the folder name you created.
- follow some simple steps by following my video tutorial and your wordpress will be installed in few minutes now.
take the screenshot after installation and paste in solution file.
your exercise is ready to submit keep following things in mind before submitting the exercise.
- Prepare your exercise by yourself and don't copy any other solution.
- submit before due date and in MS word format only.
- solve each task and don't forget to take screenshot of each step.
